Japanese archery at a shrine

Japanese archery at a shrine

Ky?d? (Japanese: ??) is the Japanese martial art of archery. Ky?d? is based on ky?jutsu ("art of archery"), which originated with the samurai class of feudal Japan. In 1919, the name of ky?jutsu was officially changed to ky?d?, and following the example of other martial arts that have been systematizing for educational purposes, ky?d? also reorganized and integrated various forms of shooting that had been used up until then.High level experts in ky?d? may be referred to as ky?d?ka (???). The experience we have arranged is located next to Kenrokuen Garden. Due to its potential hazards, participants must be aged 16 or older. Three instructors will guide one participant, starting with the fundamentals of knowledge and posture.
